Ritrato Photography Blog bio picture

about us and our style

we are pam and ritchie and we are ritrato photography. we decided to call our business ritrato photography because in our own language, ritrato means, portrait, picture or frames.   we wanted to carry a bit of our heritage in wherever we might end up in and share it with whoever we might meet. leaving our country, philippines,  to live in singapore and USA makes us appreciate even more the differences of our cultures and the uniqueness of each individual that we meet. it is not any surprise to us then that our style of photography is immensely  influenced with the vibrancy and heartbeat of each culture.

with fresh eyes, we love and enjoy doing shoots in totally ordinary places and turning them into fine works of art.  we revel in taking pictures of people in their element, in their basic moments. And nothing beats our joy in framing special moments that could never again be recaptured.

FUN. CANDID. PASSION.   that’s how we love it.  we want to take pictures of people \in events as they unfold.

SUNNY. RAINY. SNOWY.   we love the challenges that each unique situation present to us,  making the shots not anywhere near mundane but phenomenal.

FRIENDS. FAMILY. GOD.     we, ritchie and pam,  are born to be friends and we would not have started if not for the overwhelming support and love of our other friends and family. and WITHOUT OUR GOD, WE KNOW WE'D BE NOWHERE. praise and glory to him!

Stirba and Associates : A Taste of the Law!

We were psyched up when Jen gave us a call to do the photos for the law firm, Stirba and Associates. We know that they want to do the photo shoot somewhere at the library rooftop but we figured that with their schedule only allowing us to work early in the morning, the Capitol Building would be a lot better option. Besides, it suits them, we think!

So as we were driving to Salt Lake City, you would see the cumulonimbus clouds rolling in over the whole city. After a few more minutes, tear drop sizes of raindrops would start to fall in our windshields. MEN!!! We hope this is not going to be a whole lotta rain that we have been seeing for the past few days. But even if that’s the case, we are still allright as we have the beautiful State Capitol Building as our location. The lighting inside is gorgeous! But we would really want to do some photos outside too.

As it is, when we got there, the clouds were still looming over us, totally blocking the gorgeous morning light of Mr. Sunshine. So yeah, we just waited inside the building. And after a few more minutes, several men in black would stroll in. The lawyers are here!

Meet Atty. Carrie Towner. The only rose among the thorns. They would say that we cannot get any bad photos of Carrie. And how could we ? She is gorgeous!

We are very pleasantly surprised with the easygoing attitude of all the lawyers. They seem relaxed and very very easy to work with. They know how to stand well, look good and just look distinguished. PERIOD.

Meet the rest of the associates. All smiling with intelligent, beautiful eyes.

Atty. Darin Goff

Atty. Bret Rawson

Atty. Meb Anderson

Atty. Blake Hamilton

And of course, Peter Stirba, President and Lead Attorney.

And all together now …

We then decided to go outside! And glorious! The rain has stopped and the wind has almost dried the ground. But not just yet, giving us beautiful ground texture.

with their beautiful assistants …

Again, the power team of Stirba and Associates …

Thanks Peter for having us. We really enjoyed working with you guys. And thank you soooo much for the spa gift certificate. We love it!
